Piling laundry all over the house, dirty dishes on the kitchen counter (when the dishwasher is ready to be filled) I can go on… Tired of starting the conversation again? No improvement? This is what helped me. I start the conversation like this: hey I put a load of washing in, can you hang it up when it’s finished? Or, I’ve vacuumed the floor, I made a bucket with water and soap, can you mop the floors? Or, I just unloaded the dishwasher, can you put in the dirty dishes? How do you start this conversation?

Yes, you read that right. A FREE x-mas tree. It’s our 3rd time already and it amazes us how easy this is. There has been times where we struggled with money…well not struggling but we had to look at our priorities in our spending. Buying a Xmas tree was definitely NOT a financial priority. But for us having a X-mas tree is a must in the home around this time of year. It’s nostalgic, brings a extra warm vibe in the house especially when outside is cloudy and grey. And the smell 😍 X-mas trees can have various sizes and prices from €15 up to €70. Perfect looking trees, full on the bottom and slim on the top…😍 But….some aren’t so ‘perfect’ they have empty spots, crooked branches, a broken top.l etc. For us nature is perfect with the ‘imperfections’ and that’s how we managed to get a free tree. A tree who grew all this time, chopped down and then to be ‘not good enough’? What a waste… We ask for the tree that’s ’not perfect’ and there’s usually a few. The price? FOR FREE!!!
